Tanzanite

Discovered in the foothills of Kilimanjaro back in the 1960’s and named after Tanzania, Tanzanite is one of the most popular, well-known, highly sought after, rare and most brilliant gemstones in the world! This exotic dichroic mineral, (color changing) belongs to the Epidote family and ranges in color from deep blue to deep purple. It is believed to have formed approximately 500 million years ago and true Tanzanite can only be only be found in a small area, making it incredibly rare. It is accepted birthstone of December and more rare than diamond.  Will never depreciate in value and in time will become more valued and sought after within the next few years!

Metaphysical Properties

Tanzanite resonates powerfully with the Throat and Third Eye Chakras.  The dark and deeply saturated purples and blues promote an all seeing energy, making it a powerful stone of intuition and seeing beyond.  Use Tanzanite to help in your search for Devine guidance and help yourself get to know your true self through meditation.  A great stone for communication when the throat chakra is closed.  New to working with Tanzanite? As a highly vibrational crystal it is advised to pair it with a piece of selenite and black tourmaline to balance out your sensitivity to the stone.  Tanzanite stone promotes positivity towards your own self-awareness and helps us see the positive through negative times.
